PREMIER’S STATEMENT ON THE PASSING OF ART COWIE
VANCOUVER - Premier Gordon Campbell issued the following statement on the death of noted B.C. planner and former Member of the Legislative Assembly Art Cowie.

PROVINCE APPROVES DISASTER FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE
VICTORIA – Due to recent heavy rainfall causing flooding in some areas of Vancouver Island, the Province is approving Disaster Financial Assistance (DFA), Public Safety Minister Kash Heed announced.

GREEN ENERGY ADVISORY TASK FORCE MEMBERS NAMED
VICTORIA – The committee members of the Green Energy Advisory Task Force, dedicated to ensuring B.C. remains a leader in clean and renewable energy, were announced by Blair Lekstrom, Minister of Energy, Mines and Petroleum Resources, Barry Penner, Minister of Environment, and John Yap, Minister of State for Climate Action.

INQUIRY COMMISSION APPOINTED FOR AMBULANCE SERVICE
VICTORIA – An Industrial Inquiry Commission has been appointed under the B.C. Labour Relations Code to examine the B.C. ambulance service, Minister of Labour Murray Coell announced.

ALL BRITISH COLUMBIANS NOW ELIGIBLE FOR H1N1 VACCINE
VICTORIA – As of November 20, 2009, all British Columbians who need and want to be immunized against the H1N1 flu virus will be eligible to receive the vaccine.
